Today we began demoing the old flashing on the parapets and trimming out the parapet walls.
Here’s what’s been done:
- roof demolition
- insulation removal
- new support beams stained and installed
- new rafters stained and installed
- triple the support for our center beam
- all of the sheathing cut
- all of the sheathing painted
- all but one piece of the sheathing tied down
Here’s what’s yet to be done:
- flashing
- demoing old flashing on the parapets
- trimming out the parapets and parapet walls
- tie down last piece of sheathing
- sweep
Probably another 11-12 solid, full-time days of work. Which could take another month, depending on how many days we get to work. Ugh.

Thank you, Lindsey! How did you ever do it in all that rain?
